DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Idaho... Washington... Palouse River near Potlatch affecting Latah and Whitman Counties. For the Palouse River...including Potlatch...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Palouse River near Potlatch. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Water will be up to the back door at the city shop in Palouse. Water will approach the home on Main Street near Hayton Greene Park. Lions Club Park in Palouse will be submerged and water will be around the playground at the Hayton Greene Park. At 17.0 feet, Widespread extensive lowland and field flooding between Potlatch Junction Idaho and Palouse Washington, including near portions of Highway 272 near Palouse, and west to Tidwell Road and Highway 27. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:30 PM PDT Friday the stage was 12.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Saturday morning and crest around 16.8 feet late Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening to 11.0 feet late Monday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.9 feet on 04/10/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Stratus clouds are similar to altostratus clouds, but form at a
lower altitude and are identified by their fog-like appearance, lacking the
distinguishing features of most clouds.
Stratus clouds are wider than most clouds, and their base has a smooth, uniform
look which is lighter in color than a nimbostratus cloud.
The presence of a stratus cloud indicates the possibility of minor precipitation,
such as drizzle, but heavier precipitation does not typically arrive in the form
of a stratus cloud.

Similar to cirrocumulus clouds, altocumulus clouds are
characterized by cloud patches. They are distinguished by larger cloudlets
than cirrocumulus clouds but are still smaller than stratocumulus clouds.
Altocumulus clouds most commonly form in middle altitudes (between 2 and 5 km)
and may resemble, at times, the shape of a flying saucer.
These uncommon formations, called altocumulus lenticularis, are created by uplift
in the atmosphere and are most often seen in close proximity to mountains.
