DESCRIPTION: SVRLCH The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Rapides Parish in central Louisiana... Northeastern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana... * Until 845 PM CST. * At 758 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles north of Kurthwood to near Leesville, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Anacoco, Lena, Slagle, Kurthwood, Hutton, Clifton, Flatwoods, and Simpson.
INSTRUCTION: Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into a small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CST for central and west central Louisiana.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
