Mississippi River at Gregory Landing affecting Clark and Hancock Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Gregory Landing. * WHEN...From Thursday evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Water affects the road north of the grain elevator in Gregory Landing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening and continue rising to a crest of 17.2 feet Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes
(between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes
water vapor
to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are
featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.
In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved
appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds
are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.
