DESCRIPTION: Isolated showers have developed along a weak boundary across the area. At 5:30 PM CDT, media reported a funnel cloud near Webb, Iowa. Conditions will continue to be are favorable for funnel clouds with any shower that develops through mid evening. These types of funnel clouds are usually short lived and weak, and usually will not touch the ground or cause damage. However, if you see a funnel cloud and feel your safety is threatened, please seek shelter.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
