AREAS AFFECTED: Red River; Bowie; Camp; Morris; Cass
DESCRIPTION: At 400 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near Us 259 And I 30 Intersection to over Lone Star, or extending from 16 miles southeast of Boxelder to 16 miles east of Pittsburg, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Atlanta, Daingerfield, Linden, Hughes Springs, Lone Star, Queen City, Naples, Redwater, Maud, Omaha, Rocky Branch, Jenkins, Us 259 And I 30 Intersection, Kildare, Dalby Springs, Fairview, Avinger, Douglassville, Marietta and Bryans Mill.
INSTRUCTION: Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an
aircraft.
Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended
in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails
are called exhaust contrails.
Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure
moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation.
These are called aerodynamic contrails.
When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation.
The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is
because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.
